Marble

Marble is ideal for use in bathrooms as it is a more porous material than granite and may scratch or break more easily, making it much more suitable for areas of lower wear and tear. Marble is therefore perfect for bath surrounds, vanity surfaces and fireplaces.

Possibly the most breathtaking of the natural stones, marble generally comes in soft pastel shades such as cream, white, rose, beige, grey or green, with deeper shades of veining running through the stone. As marble comes in such a great variety of colour combinations, your bathroom or fireplace will remain truly unique!

DJD wouldn’t normally recommend marble for your kitchen work surfaces as it requires much more looking after than granite or Caesarstone. However, if marble is really the look you’re after, we’ll advise you on how to care for it properly to prevent scratches and breaks.

Thicknesses:

DJD’s marble surfaces are available in thicknesses of 20 and 30mm.

Finishes:

Marble can be polished, honed, flamed and brushed to create a variety of exciting textures and finishes to your bathroom surfaces.

Polished marble is finished to a high-gloss look which will furnish your bathroom with a deluxe, mirror-like sheen.

Colours:

No two slabs of marble will be exactly the same in shade or veining. Having said that, the marvellous colour combinations available naturally are almost unlimited and this means that you can match your bathroom decor perfectly!
