Granite

Granite is the ideal material for kitchen work surfaces. Not only does it look beautiful but it serves a highly practical purpose too, given that it is durable, easy to maintain, unlike many woods, veneers, or manmade materials.

DJDs’ contemporary design kitchen worktops are both stylish and highly affordable, and can be supplied in a range of natural colours and finishes, meaning that you’ll get exactly the look you’re after. Choose from honed, flamed, polished or brushed finishes, which will add texture and style to your contemporary kitchen.

As well as in homes, granite is used in restaurants and hotel kitchens because of its hygienic and hard-wearing properties which make it easy to care for. Thicknesses:

We produce granite surfaces to thicknesses of 20 and 30mm.

Finishes:

Polished granite creates a smooth, glossy and luxurious appearance.

Honed granite is where the granite is prepared to a smooth matt finish. While this means you’ll have to look after your work surfaces a little more carefully to prevent staining and scratching, you’ll also gain an ultra-contemporary look.

Flamed granite is highly textured, making it ideal for areas where a non-slip surface is required, as well as providing a modern finish.

Granite which has been brushed achieves a similar finish to flamed granite but is a little less textured.

Colours:

Our most popular colour choices for granite kitchen work surfaces are Nero Assoluto (black) and Nero Imparla (black and grey fleck). However, please remember that as granite is a natural product, colours and shades may vary from slab to slab.
